Re: [MoP] Heart of Fear and Garalon

Question for all:

How the hell to you tank the first pulls in HoF with the mobs that break your armor, is just a dps burn thing or the tanks need to do anything?

What I've started doing on my pally is to bubble when I reach 4 stacks to get rid of them and then taunt back from Ant but I can do that only once because of the CD.

That makes sense, I haven't gotten in normal mode just LFR that is a aoe fest but I was really curious.

When we first zone in we are just waiting to see who is going to step forward and get owned by the first trash pack.

Are you talking about windlord? or platform guy?

on windlord people need to grab the spears and use them to CC 4 mobs (and no more)

leave 1 mender up and mark it for first kill. (all like adds share a health pool) so when the marked mender dies all menders die.

Also interrupt the mender.

this fight gets trolled hard. no such thing as a good troll. Thankfully, if you do this LFR on Tues/Wed, you have a chance at having a group strong enough to ignore the mechanics and burn down the menders without any CC... but it hurts... a lot.

I am talking about the very first trash pulls when you get into the instance, with a normal 10/25 group you would CC the mobs that break the tanks shields is a 4 stacking debuff 25% armor each and it hurts.

In LFR most of the times somebody makes one step forward and pulls the trash, I've even seen warlocks put cookie things further ahead so people start moving to get own by these mobs.

oh yeah... it's odd how everyone has just accepted that the tanks will die during that trash, lol.

Cig have you killed him yet? Having just had the chance to read through this thread for the first time, I have to say seeing your "I still haven't killed this bastard" comments on every 8th or so post made the whole read enjoyable. (Sorry that your pain brought me pleasure but... it is what it is)

I killed it on day one of HoF LFR.

RNG on groups can make it painful though.

Currently I'm planning to do LFR's Saturday.

Hopefully Jobbie will be available
and maybe a tank or 2.

I hate solo queing.

BTW I'll be running WoL, would be cool if you do too. (do the live logging thing.

after LFR 1-4 I had a 260MB log file lol. luckily I didn't have to upload it because it was live logging.

Come to horde side. We run 6-8 LFRs with 6+ people a week, on top of "real" raiding on Saturday.
