[iPad] Reading PDFs

Is there a PDF reader included with 6.0.1 iOS? If so, is it called preview or is it something else?
TIA

Why not? It's free. It works.

What about iBooks? It works quite well for PDF files.

Get Goodreader, it has a ton of features, reads many file types, can sync, and is updated regularly.

Um. Acrobat Reader. Download it.

Too many vulnerabilities with adobe products. I've installed IBooks so guess that'll do. I was curious if iOS had a PDF reader built in.

be aware that some pdf's require adobe acrobat reader, because of DRM.

I can open PDFs in my email and I have not installed iBooks or anything else.

Mail does. I've used Acrobat for a decade and a half and never had a problem.

Not too worried about vulnerabilities on IOS right now. I have both Acrobat & iBooks installed on the iPad & iPhone.

"be aware that some pdf's require adobe acrobat reader, because of DRM."

I assume this situation isn't too common, since I have been using a Mac since April, 2007 and have never encountered a pdf that Preview couldn't handle.

It's pretty common with eBooks checked from a public library

Since I have never checked out or read an eBook, this probably explains why I haven't had any issues with Preview.

Some types of PDF forms that you can fill out on the computer also require Adobe, like job applications or government forms.

iBooks is good but you can't mark-up PDF files in it yet can you?
