3 edits | Not sure about all of them but many Key West or FL born and had never seen snow before.
Thats one thing about a hurricane down here, maybe no power for some time (Though Keys Energy has amazingly hardened the system over the past decade) but you don't freeze to death if you survive... sweat like hell maybe if a early season one, but not freeze even if a late season one, which northern ones historically have been, not to mention the much colder flood water..
