[OUTAGE REPORT] - 11/09/12 16H25

Hello,

Rogers issue appears to be resolved, we have had quite a few reports of customers who are now back online. At this time we ask that you perform a 3 minute power cycle on your modem and if you are still offline please post here: »TekSavvy Direct so that we can get the required information to open a ticket for you.

We are also experiencing provisioning issues in London as well although there is no master ticket for this issue.

This morning I noticed that upstream channel bonding had been enabled for the first time at my house. It wasn't bonded as of yesterday evening. My connection was down and I wasn't able to get an IP address using DHCP. It may just be coincidence, but there's a good chance that someone from Rogers messed something up while rolling out channel bonding last night in my area. I'm on the Richmond POI.

Definitely a possibility that the upgrades to establish upstream channel bonding may be connected to this current issue. WOW. looks like a Cable outage in Toronto.. phone system just spiked with an additional 170 calls in queue!

I'm on Dupont2 and have been down for nearly 30 minutes now.

I was one of those 170, but dropped off once you posted your message... one less customer to deal with.

Yep, mine died precisely at 2:24pm (I have a ping monitor every 1 minute).

But im at work so I was gonna check it out when I get home...

Dupont's down too. Sounds like a huge chunk of Rogers' network is offline.

In the beaches in Toronto and we have been down for over an hour now. Been trying to call TekSavvy and its just a busy signal so posted in the direct forum and on Twitter. Work from home so going to have to head into the office soon.

Yep, cable down at Spadina and College for a friend of mine. Also here on the west side of Bathurst, so it may be effecting both DuPont and Bloor POIs. Who knows how much further.

Symptom: DCM425 has three lights blinking, SB6120 has online light blinking, both indicating that the modem can't get a 10.x.x.x IP from the CMTS, or for some other reason can't download the configuration file.

Also a report of a brief outage for a Rogers customer at Dufferin and Finch, but he came back online almost right away.

I also experienced an outage Thursday morning and when it was resolved I saw upstream channel bonding for the first time.

Seems like this new outage might be impacting Guelph too, as I haven't been able to connect to my home system for the past 30 minutes or so.

Just tried an unprovisioned DCM425 and it synced up right away. Of course it is stuck in Rogers walled garden, but whatever the real issue is, it is only effecting modems that have been provisioned (possibly provisioned on TPIA?).
