Re: Windows 8 security patch I get a kick out of the fact that paying customers are just SOL, but there is an activation pack floating around that lets pirates not only use the OS for free, but also gives the option to restore a Windows 7 style, fully functional start menu. |

Don't know if that's still true or not but I wont be upgrading. |

There is an updated version that does the same on the retail release. Not that I have tried it myself mind you. 
Start8 by stardock will do the trick as well, but it isn't free. |
