Re: [HSI] Is Charter testing faster speeds? At a general level, unless they push a new config file to the modem the modem only does whatever the config file allows or the pipe can feed, whichever is lower.
So, if you're consistently faster than before and haven't subscribed to a faster tier, most likely I think is perhaps some capacity has been added to your area/congestion relieved. |

For instance, running multiple speedtests from all the locations in my state and the next nearest big city you get huge variations. A couple sites will never go above 40mb, one will give me the same results as speedtest.charter.com and the rest will be between 40 and whatever I'm getting at speedtest.charter.com at that time. |
