I also happen to run the productions team at my church so I have access to some decent sound gear. I used an Audio Technica wireless setup and the corresponding "kit" mic you can pick up along with it. I had my RODE plugged into the 7D but the sound was so much better coming from the wireless setup and recorded on a laptop.
