[Vista] Switching User Resolution Issue

When switching from one user account to another, a message which says 'The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1600x 900@60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications.'

This only happens when going from user 2 to user 1, not user 1 to user 2. As a result, we're unable to change from user 2 to user 1 without restarting.

Any ideas?

Are both users using the some monitor resolution? Does it work correctly if you login directly either user? I would possibly change the resolution to match user 1

Is this the OS saying this or the monitor saying this? It sounds like it is probably the monitor.

Either way, with LCDs you want to be operating at the actual (max) resolution: LCDs have fixed pixels, so anything less requires conversion in the display, which means loss of quality.

Check display settings when logged in as each user.
