Re: Still no 3G coverage here Post-paid does not require a contract with T-mobile. T-mobile no contract rates are cheaper than their contract rates. Only reason for a contract is to subsidize a phone. Only reason to subsidize a phone is if you can't pay for it on your own since it will generally cost you more that way. (unless you typically get top of the line minutes and bytes)
