IPVPN cloud / vpls

Hello there,

Trying to solve an issues regarding vpls. How can I stop advertising only certain subnets to a specific branch on the other side of a vpls/ipvpn cloud? Im using bgp routing with static routes as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Since this is BGP network, you need to put a BGP filter on the other end to only receive certain NLRI and block others.

A less reliable choice is to create a black hole on the other end's router as host gateway by pointing the unwanted routes into Null interface with lower administrative distance than the BGP NLRI one. When there are multiple gateways, make sure all of them have this black hole setup.

You can also limit which networks you want to advertise out of the main branch.. For example you only advertise default out, and then have everything come back to the main branch. This is probably NOT what you want to do, but just an example. You can filter routes at either end of your BGP peers...
