renewing 2 year contract

I have a friend who just sucked it up and keeps paying them $19.00 since her contract ended.

I was on a $17.95 contract for a year; around 2006/1007 I think. When it ended, My bill went to $24.95, and I was never able to get it lowered from then until April, 2011, when I dumped them.

If they offer U-verse HSI, they might give you a deal to change.

Have you asked to renew it for another 2 years? What kind of speeds are you folks getting for this price? I'm paying a lot more than that (can't recall off hand though) but i think it was like $40-43 not long ago.
