[DSL] TP-LINK TD-W8961NDHi there,
I recently just started up with TekSavvy and am currently using the TP-LINK TD-W8961ND Modem/Router combo, which at the moment I'm very pleased with. My only problem is that at the moment I'm connecting to TekSavvy through PPPoE, the VPI as far as I'm concerned has to be set to 0, except that when I try to set it to 0 or use the configuration wizard the modem sets the VPI to 1.
Is this going to cause me problems in the future? |

I have an older version, the 8960. It has been working great for the past few years. If you are syncing, check your line stats but you should be fine. |

Hello DustinB,
Technically speaking an incorrect VPI and/or VCI will not allow your login to authenticate. I'm not sure how it would be working if the modem is truly using 1 for the VPI. Every time I have setup TP-Link modem/routers it hasn't given me any issues like that. Perhaps try a factory reset and try the setup wizard again.

From what I gather from TP-link modems, you need to set the PVC drop down box to the appropriate 0.35 config.
If you try to edit an existing one, it doesn't seem to work. |
