The furnace company people came to do annual maintenance and replaced a part yesterday.
Today the furnace isn't working at all.
They say they'll come back this afternoon.
At least it's a warm day out ... it's supposed to get above freezing outside.

A lifetime ago I had a furnace cleaned, and they informed me I had a cracked plenum and the furnace needed replacing. That was mid-winter too, so I can sympathize! |

| We're taking turns staying at home ... in case the furnace people manage to get here before this afternoon. I've got a little space heater that's keeping me toasty warm, as long as I stay in this room.

I'm doing just fine. This little space heater is actually pretty darn good. And the oven is on in the kitchen. I'll take a little cold over emergency surgery ... although I am glad I don't have a squawker. Just an evil cute little cat ...

Overclocking opportunity! Yeah. Just what I need. A broken furnace and a broken computer (not because overclocking is bad, but because I have no idea what I'm doing in that domain).
My shift at home is over. Off to work where there will probably be plenty of heat ...

| Too late with the duct tape. Apparently the new igniter-thing-a-ma-jiggy that they put in yesterday 'exploded' ... so the furnace guy went to pick up a new one and put that in. He chose a different brand this time.
