 | [Free] need something do download an entire website I plan to help redesign a friends website but no one has the admin access so I was thinking of downloading the entire site, redo some of the pages that are dead and relaunch it on an free web hosting service.
What program would help me save the entire webpage to my hard drive? |

I've used UltraSucker for years when I need/wanted to do this. You can set it do to just the page, the entire site, spider off to other sites, download structure as is or sort by file size. -- Progress isn't made by early risers. | reply to robman50 Also not free but another option is Teleport (»www.tenmax.com/home.htm). There is a free trial.
Unless the site is revenue-generating any non-free option may not be worth it.
Note that any such utility won't be able to collect/copy/save server-side scripts which may or may not be an issue.
Perhaps the hosting provider may be able to provide access or provide a copy of the site? It might be worth at least investigating. |
