[TWC] Cable Card Horror!! Dallas Texas

anon posted : I went to this location 1565 Chenault St Dallas, TX 75228 for Time Warner to pick up a cable card. I pick it up about 3 weeks ago. Monday I decide that was the day I was gonna install it into my new Ceton InfiniTV PCIe card. I called the cable card number for Time Warner: 866-606-5889. They helped me realize that I have a single tuner card but it has a M- Card label. I didn't think nothing of it so I drove back to the location and got 2 cards this time. I brought both cards home and called the cable card number again. This time one card was a single tuner and the other one wasnt registered with the Headend. I called them back to maybe speak to someone else but calling them at night is horrible I was on hold 40 minutes still no answer. They close 11pm eastern time. The next day Tuesday 11/14/2012. I head back to the same location and pick the last 3 cards. Can you believe that I have cleared out the warehouse at one location. This location is close to what you would call the hood so they treat you as such. I get back home and I'm thinking to myself third times a charm. However the end result was a 1 hour call. 2 cards not registered at the headend and 1 card flat out don't work. I ask the tech over the phone is it something I'm doing wrong and he said you just keep getting bad cards sorry! At this point I rememered where the Garland location was so I drove to Garland 934 East Centerville Garland, TX 75041.
I told the guy I need 3 new cable cards and can you make sure one is at least brand new. He look at me funny because I asked for 3 but you probably already know what I was thinking. Just give me all your cable cards you have in the warehouse but I only took 3. I finally got home around 5pm and yep it was the 2nd one in the bunch. The ugly worst looking card worked. I'm posting this because if you want a cable card that is a True M-card it has to have 3 bars on the back. The serial number most likely will start with MA. If it starts with NG and you only have 2 bars its a single tuner. I dont care what any customer service rep tells you. SOMEONE AT THE WAREHOUSE PUT M-CARD LABELS ON ALL THE SINGLE TUNERS IN DALLAS AND GARLAND!!!! Please Please Please do not call the regular number. They have no clue what to do. It took 48 hours, a mess up account now, a lot of time away from my family, and 50 dollars in gas to figure this out.
