If the device is wireless, and you have another working device that is wireless, take that working wireless device up there to verify there are no signal issues. If that WiFi device works in the same area, check drivers, check to see you have correct IP info (IP, DNS, Gateway). Possibly the WiFi radio in that device up there is a bit weaker. Try taking that device closer to your WiFi Router and see if it connects.
