Simple Mobile does not have true WiMax/LTE 4g technology. They use HSPA+.

Boost/Virgin using WiMax
Cricket/Metro/Tmob will have LTE. They currently have limited LTE coverage.

ATT/Verizon prepaid have not announced anything about moving those users to LTE.

As if somehow Wimax is LTE? Or are we just saying it's 4G speeds? If so, then HSPA+ is _certainly 4G just as WiMax is.

Review the tech... HPSA+ can be even faster then WiMax.
