Re: [IA] Motorolla SB6121 Now Supported? A large percentage of our market supports the SB6121. The only thing is that we don't have the firmware to send to the modem. |
|
 | Okay, so Dubuque area is fine I assume and I will also assume (of course knowing other issues could exist or arise) that if I try to find a newer build SB6121 I should be okay in regards to past issues with older firmware? Thanks, |

|
 | Sweet-good to know-so Mediacom getting ahold of the firmware is to be able to push it out to customers, if needed--you don't modify it in anyway?
Thanks, |
|
 | reply to MediacomChad So does Mediacom modify the firmware or merely have it available from manufacturer to push out to customers?
Just curious. Thanks, |

| reply to MediacomChad Chad someone needs to make sure 6121 gets added to the supported modem list. No excuses! This is by far the best selling DOCSIS 3 modem on the market and the 6120 has not been available for months now. I swear I could work as a salesman for Motorola. I have recommended this modem to many customers. I mean with the prices people pay why pay a rental fee for a 10yr old piece of shit modem? -- I speak for myself, not my employer. |

 | reply to MediacomChad How do you find out if a particular market (Clearlake Oaks, Lake County, CA) supports the SB6121? |

|
 | Can you tell if the Boone, IA (Ames?) area is 3.0 yet? |

 | reply to Ducbucln My dad's in Lakeport and is using a Zoom 5341J that I bought for him a few weeks ago. It's been working pretty well so far, four downstream channels and one up. Very consistent speeds. -- KI6RIT |
