Re. dejavu, my experience...
Telus Chat: I asked if I can get Telus HS50, they said no, it has to be Optic50. I said I believe both are offered and after some investigation they agreed.
Telus Chat: I asked for a modem rather than a modem/router combo with HS50. They said I'd have to talk to the Telus tech.
Telus Tech: No, it has to be a modem/router combo. I told them I only need a modem. The tech said I have to talk to Billing.
Telus Billing: After some chats they agreed I can have a "modem" but then asked if I knew the difference between a modem and a router. I told them "yes" and I was sent back to the same Tech.
Telus Tech: After the Tech discussed with Billing, they agreed it MAY be possible, but I'd have to work with the tech during the installation visit - not hopeful as it's a big deal for me. I did note Shaw offers this service.
Pretty much the same as my Telus25 experience.
We'll see....
