Re: smtpauth.sbcglobal.net is it accessible?

Ok, Thanks for the info guys, it seems that there was an issue with the server when I posted this and Dennis seemed to confirm.

Now it appears that the server is up, but on the uverse side of at&t my port 25 block opt out did not transfer to uverse.

telnet smtpauth.sbcglobal.net 25
Connecting To smtpauth.sbcglobal.net...Could not open connection to the host, on
 port 25: Connect failed

Thanks for the confirmations, appreciate the help.

Port 587 seems to work.

Port 587 seems to work.

It did work when I first used it as an SBC customer; but I don't have an AT&T login now.

I lost port 25 access when I quit AT&T (I had requested removal from the block in early 2003; quit AT&T in 2011).

My new ISP blocks port 25 both directions on dynamic IP accounts; but not on static IP accounts.
