Moving iTunes smart playlists between Mac and PC

With the advent of Macs *and* PCs in my house, I've been struggling to try and figure out how to move smart playlists between Macs/PCs... Of course, having the systems "registered" with home sharing is easy.. and now I get to see what is not in each other system's iTunes library (apps, music, videos, books, etc.)

However, one thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to replicate playlists between Macs/PCs (and I've tried simple stuff like dragging). I've done some Googling, but I have to be missing something... surely Apple put this functionality in with home sharing - they let you drag anything you want to another LAN computer registered with Home Sharing... so why not playlists?

Thanks

The only way I know how to do it is either copying the iTunes library files from one computer to another (will work PC to Mac and vice versa), or enabling iTunes Match, which then syncs smart playlists between computers...poorly.
