There's a lot of direct fibre to the home that's been deployed by cable companies in Ontario, it's just that most people don't know it because it's converted to coax inside the home and uses all the exact same equipment and delivers the same service as regular coax does. It's only just now that Rogers alone are starting to differentiate their fibre offerings.
