vilord join:2006-09-05 Watertown, MA | [Equipment] Cisco dpc3010: remove cox firmware? I got a used cisco dpc3010 from Amazon, and discovered upon arrival that is has COX firmware on it.
Can I just plug it in and wait and hope that it works? How can I flush the COX firmware off of it and get it loaded up with RCN firmware?
thanks! -jesse |

Otherwise, you should be able to flash it by going to cisco's consumer website and downloading the firmware and following their instructions on how to upload it. |

Could've been stolen, or could've been COX selling the returned units to a third party... hard to say, but the seller is a "business" at least according to amazon, and they're selling more than one.
Either way, less than 40 bucks for docsis 3 8x4 |
