My modem stats are back to normal, but my speed is still pretty unstable in the evening now (it jumps between 7Mbit and ~22Mbit all the time).

My area is usually pretty good and I've always had plenty of head room at all times of day - this sudden drop happened just recently after this downtime.

Is the Fallowfield POI at capacity now? What happened there?

Thanks!

Hello,

Could you please post your modem levels? Also could you post a ping to google.com (50 pings) to see if you are having packet loss?

I just checked the POI it didn't peak last night, so capacity/congestion is not the problem. The issue appears to be dhcp again, but I'm also seeing some signals out of spec, no set patterns yet.

Not sure if this was directed at me, so here you go:

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

Ping seems fine, modem stats are pretty good now (upstream power levels were screwed up originally, but that got fixed) as well.

I did notice that youtube has been very slow lately - a lot of the 720p and 1080p content is unplayable at the moment, although I can at least get 1MB/s download speeds from other servers now, which should be plenty. The videos are being streamed through the Teksavvy cache servers:

Was this ping preformed direct to the modem? Also can we get a 50 ping count?

The ping is done through a router, but that ping is normal for me. The speed seems fairly stable at the moment, but that could be that its late now. I was just downloading a game through steam and that downloaded at 28Mbit/s (max).

Youtube, however, is still giving me problems on some videos (i.e. the one I posted above). The video above uses the following cache server:
o-o---preferred---sn-ux3n588t-mjhe---v14---lscache1.c.youtube.com

Videos from other servers seem to play fine:
i.e. some videos from o-o---preferred---sn-ux3n588t-mjhe---v20---lscache3.c.youtube.com

Not sure what the problem is because they both have identical tracert and resolve to the same IP.

Here are the requested ping results:

Yes I agree everything seems fine.

We will have to resume troubleshooting when the speeds decrease again. Let us know if you continue to have speed issues.
