First revision of the Social API and support for Facebook Messenger

CHANGED

Updated Awesome Bar experience with larger icons

CHANGED

Mac OS X 10.5 is no longer supported

DEVELOPER

JavaScript Maps and Sets are now iterable

DEVELOPER

DEVELOPER

Improvements that make the Web Console, Debugger and Developer Toolbar faster and easier to use

DEVELOPER

New Markup panel in the Page Inspector allows easy editing of the DOM

HTML5

Sandbox attribute for iframes implemented, enabling increased security

FIXED

Over twenty performance improvements, including fixes around the New Tab page

FIXED

Pointer lock doesn't work in web apps (769150)

FIXED

Page scrolling on sites with fixed headers (780345)

Known Issues

Unresolved

If you try to start Firefox using a locked profile, it will crash (see 573369)

Unresolved

For some users, scrolling in the main GMail window will be slower than usual (see 579260)

Unresolved

Windows: The use of Microsoft's System Restore functionality shortly after updating Firefox may prevent future updates (see 730285)

Don't really care for Mozilla adding social networking garbage baked into Firefox via an API. Not everyone cares or wants it.

Is it just me or does the add-on menu not work anymore?

I go to tools then add-ons and nothing happens. What's going on here?

Not sure what happened, but several things quit working for me.....New Tab button does nothing, Back button does nothing, can't select Bookmarks (click on them, nothing happens)......anyone else seeing this?

Where can I find FF 16 to put back on for the time being? Currently using Pale Moon to post.

(couldn't get logged into my account here for some reason....but not related to this subject matter)

Really odd. Looks like others are having trouble too.

All those things working fine for me after update to 17.0.

Thanks for the update. I did have to install the latest dev build of Tab Mix Plus to get the Tools -> Add-Ons menu to work again. Only glitch I've noticed so far.

Hmmm... I got Tab Mix Plus 0.4.0.4 and I can open the Add-On menu. My problem is the Secure Login extension doesn't work now. Oh well, 1 out of 20 isn't so bad. I did post in the post in Mozillazine so maybe the developer will see it.

No problems with menus or the addons you mentioned.

Do you have Secure Login v1.0.1 that was released the other day?

Also the TMP beta v0.4.0.4pre.120724a is working fine as well.

This is on the release build of Fx v17

Yep. Was working fine this morning under 16.0.2. Then I updated Firefox & now it doesn't auto login when I click the key. It really affects only ONE web page that I visit that doesn't let you remain logged in anyway so I can wait till it gets fixed.
