Not sure what happened, but several things quit working for me.....New Tab button does nothing, Back button does nothing, can't select Bookmarks (click on them, nothing happens)......anyone else seeing this?

Where can I find FF 16 to put back on for the time being? Currently using Pale Moon to post.

All those things working fine for me after update to 17.0.

Yeah, the problem was with Tab Utilities 1.2.....

Thanks for the update. I did have to install the latest dev build of Tab Mix Plus to get the Tools -> Add-Ons menu to work again. Only glitch I've noticed so far.

Found out Tab Mix Plus is conflicting with opening the add-on menu in FF. Wonderful.

Hmmm... I got Tab Mix Plus 0.4.0.4 and I can open the Add-On menu. My problem is the Secure Login extension doesn't work now. Oh well, 1 out of 20 isn't so bad. I did post in the post in Mozillazine so maybe the developer will see it.

No problems with menus or the addons you mentioned.

Do you have Secure Login v1.0.1 that was released the other day?

Also the TMP beta v0.4.0.4pre.120724a is working fine as well.

This is on the release build of Fx v17

Yep. Was working fine this morning under 16.0.2. Then I updated Firefox & now it doesn't auto login when I click the key. It really affects only ONE web page that I visit that doesn't let you remain logged in anyway so I can wait till it gets fixed.

! I thought Boy, Firefox 17 is really messing up.

Who knew that there was an option in the extensions preferences to turn ON Blur Disabled Menu Items? Geeze for a second there, I thought some of them were in the Witness Protection Program!

No browser reboot needed when updating add-on extensions in FF 17, this i like.

I've been sticking with 3.6.28 and don't think I'll ever update, unless somebody gives me a GOOD reason why I should. I tried 4, at that time, and couldn't stand the UI so I quickly went back to 3.6.28.

I note that you can turn off the warning for about:config, but I have no idea whether that was already an option in the previous version. I like the warning, anyway.

According to this post I found in Mozillazine: »forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic···12495179 there's something wrong with secureLogin.js. No one's sure yet if it's the extension or something Firefox 17 is doing. But if you un-check Activate JavaScript Protection on Login, Secure Login will work now.

Yes ? And ? That's not to say the Moz Devs are copping to cash-cow API's like Facebook, this was expected and not surprising.
Once I have the correct about:config syntax, that's going out there to slow the Bloat

So, if the option is not enabled and you are not using it, then how is this Facebook chat thing considered to be bloat ? Does it adversely affect the operation of FF 17 in any way ? I mean, I have not enabled it. I usually keep Facebook open in another tab anyway and if someone sends me a message on Facebook, I then can easily respond to it. I have no plan to enable the browser chat option. But I am not against the Firefox people for adding this feature.

There are others that consider this Mozilla software bloat, not just poor old me. In order to fully use all of the features, one must understand them, yes ? Are they all disclosed ? No, only in the changelog and the somewhat superfluous Mozilla Blog entries.

As with all software, questionable and unannounced changes as these are generally met with a fair amount of skepticism, as I am expressing mine, which, I have every right to as a Moz user.

I have no "real" issues with adding an opt-in Social API, yet for the "JoeUsers" there will be issues since all of these droves of users are not equipped to tweak settings to opt-in or opt-out in the event the feature(s) are disliked or misunderstood.

If Mozilla had vetted this prior to plain-old, let's release this sucker and see what happens, the reception may have been completely different.

Having been an IE MVP for four years, hypothetically, if this was IE in lieu of Mozilla, it would have been an outrage, guaranteed.

First things I did was find and and upgrade to Tab Mix Plus 0.4.0.4pre.120724a since the previous version was comparable so I never saw the Add-ons Manager problem.

Same problem with Secure Login 1.0.1. I unchecked "Activate javaScript protection on login" and checked "Submit login form automatically" which basically allows one click log on again.
