Mrs. Weather and I got a JVC VHS-C camcorder as a wedding gift many years ago.
It came with the powered VHS adapter "case" that you popped the VHS-C cassette into so you could play back what you recorded on a standard VHS VCR.

I vaguely remember hearing about the CED vinyl discs. The sad thing is that the technology was developed in the mid-60's, but due to bureaucracy at RCA didn't go into production until 1981. The timing couldn't have been worse. By that time it had competition from all sides -- both VHS and the newer two- and three-hour Betamax units as well as Laserdiscs had all been out for a few years already, so the thing was doomed from the start.

Party? cheese puffs? quiche? ugh wow, it must be the cocaine that is keeping her perky and smiling.

I came across something older than a Laser Disc while visiting a friend, she had a functional RCA CED selectavision player and a collection of LP movies to go along with it.

Classic movies (Bogart, Marx Bros, Lon Chaney) and tv shows (Honeymooners, Dick Van Dyke Show, Outer Limits) or new stuff?

Right behind me I have about 900 33rpm vinyl "records". Starts about
1965 through to the early 1980's But mostly late 1960's and the
1970's. My life in music. :-) Funny thing, I don't even think of them
as a collection. Mostly rock but a fair bit of classical.

From about the mid 70's to the mid 80's I purchased about 475 twelve inch vinyl records, about 95% classical and 5% electronic groups like Tangerine Dream. I haven't played them since and they are just sitting in boxes in storage. I tried to sell the collection about 2000 but I was too late, no one had any interest in vinyl then.

I may have one of the more obscure collection interests, but ever since I discovered the wonders of P.G. Wodehouse I've been a collector of his books, the vast majority of which are now out of print, and the original editions of which are often rare and very hard to find.

I collect old outboard motors... I have 2 from the 1940s, 3 from the 1950s, 3 from the 60's, and 4 from the 70s... Johnson, Mercury, Scott-Atwater/Champion, Chrysler, Evinrude and Gale so far... who knows maybe this winter I'll add another unit to the collection. It started out with donations from cottagers around the lake where my cottage is... since then I've added here and there - kijiji ads, barn and yard sale finds, etc...

I got a big heavy "Swedish style" blob of amber glass abstract
ashtray from my mom. My X tried to throw it out....I think that was
the beginning of the end.....I threw her out instead! :D

Got a brand new/pristine gently used Pioneer Elite CLD-99 unit to play them on too. DTS titles sound utterly fantastic along with 5.1 AC-3 titles like Top Gun.

I love sport's cards and started getting serious about collecting them,when I broke my leg in a softball game years ago. :)

I also have a sweet spot for stained glass and tiffany lamps, as my parents collected those when I was a kid.
