Rogue planet found wandering through space

Wow... a rogue planet has been found in space without a sun to orbit around.... Pretty weird stuff...

Pretty sure this is how some sci-fi movies start. (Next thing you know it will be announced to be heading towards our solar system. Then the alien space crafts will come out of it seeking to plunder our planet).

It is pretty neat. There's probably more lurking about but I imagine they are pretty hard to find unless they get illumination from the right angle or pass by something bright. In this case a cluster of new stars is helping.

Reminds me a bit of simulations I saw in a documentary of how our solar system was formed. Almost certainly some objects were lost and are floating somewhere in the cold of space with no sun to pull them in.

130 light years away.
I think we're safe for a while.

Never too early to start the preparations.

Nothing safe, it all ends with a cold, dark universe sparsely populated with the occasional particle of decaying matter.

For people whom enjoy needless stress you can worry about the Andromeda / Milky Way collision which will happen in around four billion years... tickets are on sale now!

And poor old Zecharia Sitchin won't be alive to see the Babylonian (or was it Anunnakin) prophesy come true... LOL

Well then, one should worry as this rogue planet could be here in a mere 300,000 years if it is travelling at 100Km/sec toward us..

I bet it's full of WMDs... we should destroy it before it destroys us!

We should spot those Eagles any time now. Hopefully they make it before the planet gets too far away.
