 | reply to alfnoid They always claim outages and then you hang up the phone. Brilliant plan isnt it |

Long wait to connect to upload side of Speedtest.
Shutdown modem & router - go make coffee - restart both no help.
I recently added google analytics IPs to my hosts file - perhaps that is a factor? Can't quite see how upload would be affected, but not sure.
````````````` Edit
I visited the Comcast Help & Support web site. A script ran automatically and checked my connection. The result: "There is a known technical issue in your area. Technicians are working toward a resolution."
I have to say that sure beats calling in and fiddling with boxes for a half hour because the Comcast phone rep can't see any outage info on their side. (Been there done that, then at the end of the half hour of box twiddle - "Oh, I see there is an outage in your area." Zuh!) At least now I know it isn't my end, although I have to say that at least a dozen Comcast HSI problems in the last year make me less than enthusiastic about using Comcast for any type of mission critical voip, like in a business setting. Too unreliable around here. |
