Good Cops : Police arrest Kingston Grinch

Kingston Police force busted a guy that was telling kids Santa isn't real.
I say thanks and Keep up the Good work gentlemen !

Why we arrested a man after he told kids Santa Claus wasn’t real: Police on the Kingston Grinch.

It’s the most egregious Christmas crime: telling a child that the man in red isn’t real. This weekend, a 24-year-old Kingston, Ont., man filtered his way through the city’s annual Santa Claus parade, announcing the “truth” about Santa to the festive crowds. “Arrested an intoxicated Grinch for trying to yell at kids that Santa’s not real! So misinformed. His heart must be many sizes too small!” Kingston Police media relations officer Constable Steve Koopman tweeted. He spoke Tuesday with the Post’s Sarah Boesveld.:

Just to clarify, if your response was the same as mine ("They arrest people for telling the truth?"), the guy was arrested for public intoxication and parole violation.

Sorry , I should clarify this story relative to my beliefs.
Yes he was rightfully arrested for intoxication and skipping parole.
And for spoiling the magic of Christmas.
Saint Nicholas did exist and was predecessor to our modern day Santa Claus

Sadly, being an asshole isn't a crime.

No, it's not. And while I think that somebody running around saying such things to kids is indeed a huge asshole, and that he shouldn't do it, it would also be absurd to punish him for doing so.

In a round bout way he is punished for his deeds of ruining the kids fun
He obviously can't control himself under the influence
Screwed up his conditions of parole
In effect he's being punished for being an ass in public
What's so absurd about that? If he would have just been a quiet drunk and gone about his ways then no harm would be done.
karmas a bitch
