Here on the Brookhaven, LI system, all 3 channels you mentioned are in 16:9 windowbox format with black bars around all 4 sides. |

Wayne, NJ | What's ironic is that while the WLIW channels are now in pure widescreen, all the channels that were widescreen have bars above and below and look like they're flatten.

I can confirm that WLIW Create and World are still in 4:3 but alot of programming is widescreen so the 4 dark sides still exist. You might have the Zoom function on your TV or the box on. |

...or his box is set to stretch/auto-fill the screen on non-HD channels. Those was the first things I checked. I am on normal 1080i. I have a component connection to my tv. I haven't changed any settings from my STB.
