Need some advice a graphics card

My wife uses a 8800GT, it recently stopped working, I wanted to get her a new low cost card to replace it.

Or my other plan, give her my 460SE, and get myself something with a little more power. She only plays WoW, I play that and other newer games and its starting to bog down at times.

I'd like to spend less then $150. I've seen plenty of cards in that price range but I don't really know what would be a good buy. I'd like to avoid spending $150 and have it only be only slightly better.

I'd like to stick with nVidia, but if the price/performance is right I will go for ATI if you guys recommend it.

In case it makes a difference, my CPU is a 2500K, not overlocked, 8GB of RAM.

Thanks for any advice.

In my opinion, in this price range --- I would go with the 7850. You get GTX 570 like performance, for $100 less.

Nvidia has the 650 ti, but it's more expensive and the only feature that's arguably better is power consumption.

Price / Performance wise, AMD wins at this price range.

Thanks, I'm kinda leaning that way now. Though, I haven't used ATI/AMD in over 10 years.

Granted, the price difference is only $10 --- if the lower power consumption matters to you and you said you like Nvidia, it's an equally powerful card.

the 7850 also has free shipping, so almost 20 bucks cheaper.
