Is she connecting to the modem via eth cable or wirelessly? Make sure its via cable and good cat5e or better and if that does not fix it have her write down all the settings inside (since its been reported that restore function is not working yet) and reset the modem and setup everything back using the settings she wrote down. Maybe she has changed her IP (like I did) and has forgotten about it? I changed mine since one of my routers has the same IP by default (something that is easily forgotten, lol I know this first hand) and was interfering with the setup (could not connect via browser, since the two devices had the same ip)... A few months ago it took me hours to figure out why I could not connect to my PK5000, lol... The default IP was no longer default

I am probably wrong but heck might as well mention it just in case. Let us know please...

Is the modem in bridge mode?
Is there another router between the modem and the PC?
What is the IP address assigned to the PC?
Has she been able to connect in the past?
