<description><![CDATA[CoxVegas posted : I admit I'm confused - what do you want to happen? <br><br>This is a localized problem to your house, your equipment, or the wiring to your house - a tech visit is required to isolate.<br><br>I set up a trouble ticket and a tech was sent.   I even went so far as to make sure the one that was sent was one of our better RF troubleshooters.  He got turned away at the door by someone saying there was no problem.<br><br>At this point, your best bet is to call in to Customer Care, and request a tech out to fix the problem. ]]></description>

Should be available on 192.168.100.1. What I think would be helpful to record is the Upstream frequency being used each time you have a problem, and the time you have the problem. Also, maybe try putting the modem on the line where it first enters the house? If you still have a issue there, that rules out any inside wiring. ]]></description>

Upstream ingress/noise is a more likely explanation although a failed modem is also possible.  A technician would be able to help determine what could be going on.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[HeinePaul posted : Yeah, I've recently been given the "it must be your hardware inside the house.. it's not us" line by "Christopher" at Cox Support.<br><br>I'm guessing Cox is having trouble with the upstream my neighborhood is given, and as it is intermittent and mostly daytime.  Amazing how those cable crimps keep such regular hours, huh?<br><br>Without their assistance, and despite the misdirection, I've noted:<br>the Docsis 3.0  cable modem tries to communicate with CMTS (10.65.0.1) with a MAC of MAC=64:00:f1:40:38:6a, it craps out.. but almost only between 11am and 8pm.<br><br>Here's what today has been like. If you're getting a ton of T3s, check your local cabling, or call in to have a technician come out, measure your line for signal and noise, and if found, correct it.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[CoxVegas posted : DCC = Downstream Channel Change - your modem is shifting to a new channel for load balancing, and is something that was fixed in DOCSIS 3 (by virtue of doing the channel bonding, you're never reliant on a single channel at a time).<br><br>If you want to PM me your cable MAC, I can see if there's any reason you're getting those more than usual, but a few times a day, especially in the evening when the channels are busiest, are Just Going To Happen. ]]></description>

Here's what I get:<br><br>No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=00:22:[snip];CMTS-MAC=64:00:[snip];CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;<br><br>Yesterday, those were coming several times an hour, according to the logs.  I've had 2 in the last 30 minutes.  I also get:<br><br>SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Loss of Sync<br>Lost MDD Timeout<br>Cable Modem Reboot due to MDD Loss<br>TLV-11 - unrecognized OID<br><br>A tech was here two days ago because we had gone completely dark.  Now we're back online, but the error & reboot cycles are more frequent than before. I had to purchase a refurbished modem from them. It was also a Motorola Surfboard. This modem would give me inconsistent connection. When I changed my modem into a linkys cm100. All of a sudden the connection became more stable.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[WrEcK6 posted : Running into upload outage in my area on my Motorola SB5120(only model that works on my part of the line for some reason). It's been happening around 11am-2pm and 10pm-2am give or take some time over the past couple days.My downstream seems to be fine but, my upload is non-existent(I would post the speedtest.net but, upload won't go.) I've tried tests both on and off my D-link DIR-645 router with no difference. At most I can only upload small images and in video games my position doesn't update quickly and rubber bands like crazy.]]></description>
