Re: [speed/latency] Downstream sync OK, speed test says otherwis

Is every value in that speed test consistent with how it is running now? As in, are you getting 65ms latency to that server, and 1Mbps/768kbps service day and night without any additional slowdowns or spikes?

In some cases I've seen times where the profile in the edge router needs to be re-applied. This could be one of them if you cannot get more than 1Mbps on a 3Mbps circuit.

Hi Smith -- Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've checked the speed on this server at different times, and the numbers are pretty much the same, including the latency.

What should be my next step? Should I do a tracert the get the DNS & IP address of the edge router? Then post in Verizon Direct?

Thanks again - AJD

Next step would be to just ask the Verizon Direct forum about this. When they ask for some information from you so they can figure out what your circuit is they should be able to find out what router you're on.

Hi Smith -- I posted to the Verizon Direct forum a week ago, and my post is still unanswered. I notice that you are very active on Verizon's forums. If I were to send a private message in Verizon's forum environment to request support, to whom should I address the message?

Thanks -- AJD
