 | Cheapest TV package to add to Extreme 105 So, the comcast pricing page in my area has the 105mbps internet priced at $105 a month (for the first 12 months) if you get some other service from them. Besides their phone stuff, I'm curious what is the cheapest basic cable package you can add to get the $105 price? (I know they have a ton of pricing on their site, but some of these are notoriously vague and it is unclear if I can mix one promotional package with another...so I'd be curious to hear others' actual experiences). |

Offer ... is limited to new XFINITY Internet residential customers...Offer limited to Extreme 105 Internet service to a single outlet and requires subscription to either XFINITY Digital TV or Voice service at regular rates. "Basic Cable" service (which costs $15.35 a month in my area) includes:
All your local broadcast channels like ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. Local independent, government and educational networks plus shopping and religious channels too. All the TV & HSI combo packages displayed for new customers seem to include only "Performance" tier HSI service. You'd have to call 1-800-COMCAST and see if you can substitute "Exteme 105" service. |

 | reply to miket $15 on top of the 105 wouldn't be bad! |

 | reply to miket Call Sales. There should be a promo for $79 or $89 for 105 internet, nothing else required. -- »www.VAJeeps.com »www.BronzedBod.com |

 | reply to miket I think you're right...in the fios land (or 'competitive' markets) they have slightly different pricing. Here is salt lake, they make us pay through the nose since they are the only game in town.
But I'm going to try anyway. =) |

telcodad join:2011-09-16 Lincroft, NJ kudos:2 | Since you mentioned you are in SLC, I tried putting in an address in the offers page for that city, and saw that they offer "Blast! Plus" there for $39.99 per month for the first 6 months.
Here are the "Details and Restrictions":
Offer ends 12/21/12 and limited to new residential customers. Not available in all areas. Requires subscription to Blast Plus with Digital Economy TV and Blast! Internet service. After first 6 months, monthly service charge goes to $59.99 for months 7-12. After 12 months, or if any service is cancelled or downgraded, regular rates apply. Comcasts current monthly service charge for Blast Plus is $79.95. TV and Internet service limited to a single outlet. Equipment, installation, taxes and franchise fees extra. May not be combined with other offers. For more details, see this previous thread: »What is "Blast Plus"?
I know it's not Extreme 105, but maybe you can just pay an incremental fee to upgrade to that speed from Blast. |

 | reply to miket Keep in mind the bundle "discount" (HSI+limited basic) may not essentially exist in your area. Costs MORE here for both. |
|
 | reply to miket Wow...I would do that blast deal, but for some reason it shows $95 per month for blast for my address and $105 for extreme (both with some other service included).
I should just call and find out what they quote me. |

 | reply to miket I have the promo and FiOS is no where near me. |

 | reply to miket In case anyone was interested in how this turned out:
I talked to a couple of comcast people. My local guy was funny. He had to call me back because he said no one ever asks about the extreme 105. When he called back he said he thought you could pair it up with a $35 basic cable package, but the computer wouldn't let him do it. No flexibility on the $250 install fee.
When I was waiting for his call, someone else from Comcast called me back with an offer of $39 a month for cable and blast 50. This sounded pretty great to me, so I asked her to send me an e-mail with what my bill would actually look like. Haven't heard back yet. [everyone who told me they had deals on the 50 were right!]
So...it sounds like the 105 is a bit of a publicity thing for now (in my area). But they have way better deals on the 50 speed than they advertise online. (Assuming the call was for real). Thinking on pulling the trigger on the 50 and waiting a year to see how the price changes on the 100. |

 | reply to miket UHHHHHHHH....Comcast!!!!!!
For 3 days I loved comcast. Loved it! I finally thought their customer service was getting better. Turns out the deal was a salesperson run amok. The people at comcast said it was a contractor that made the offer to me. They upgraded me, but not to 50mbps but 30mbps. Everyone I talked to at comcast said there was nothing they could do for me. I tried to explain that this was more than false advertising, but actual fraud and this is the stuff that makes people crazy about comcast. Nothing.
I really thought this company was getting better. But I have a lower opinion of them now then I did a week ago. |
