The listed speeds available on the website aren't going to change. You need to find a tech to look up your line stats and actually see if the line can handle a faster upload. if it can, he should know the best way of getting that done.
When you say tech, are you referring to someone who actually does field work, or should I just call CenturyLink and ask to speak to support?
