Tire Balancing Weights

Changed over to my snow tires yesterday. They were purchased last season and are on different rims. I did a front to back rotation for this season's install.
I attempted to put last year's left rear tire on the left front. That rim had the stick-on weights in one spot stacked 2 high. When I installed the wheel on the front, the weights hit the disk brake assembly.
If I bring the wheels back to the tire place, can the tire be re-balanced to not have weights stacked on top of each other ?

What kind of wheel? If it is just a standard wheel, it should be no problem. Just ask them for the other weights.
