Lrscpa join:1999-08-26 Demarest, NJ | On Demand "Play" button greyed out on Optimum App I have two cablecards and one HD box. I have the Optimum app for my iPad, and I cannot access On Demand content. The play button is grayed out, though I can "add to cart". There were no other options to play from the cart. |

 | Are you unable to order paid on demand, unable to order free on demand, or unable to watch already ordered on demand? |

Re: On Demand "Play" button greyed out on Optimum App I've asked this question in the past too (I don't rent cableboxes, just CableCard only).
Apparently you need at least 1 box on your account for ondemand to work on the iOS Optimum app. |

 | OP says he has a HD box...so that should not be an issue. |

I believe you have to do a "pairing" at least once of the box to the app so the optimum app can leverage the cablebox to make the outbound request to the VOD server. Is that right and maybe is the missing step here? |

 | In my experience, when you sign into the app behind your router, it should "know" what your equipment is.
I've had it happen where I changed out equipment and the app did not pick that up quite right. I cured it by deleting the app from my iPhone and iPad, then re-installing it. |

Jmartz join:2000-07-20 Tenafly, NJ | reply to Lrscpa I swapped my boxes for new Samsung boxes. The laptop app shows double the number of boxes that I have now. When I click on any of them, the app crashes on my mac.
I've tried reinstalling, etc. Nothing seems to help it. |
