<description><![CDATA[Dogg posted : It's more a matter of what the OP is expecting.  The standard rotational HDD cannot max out a SATAII port/connection.  The drive being "SATA 3" ready, or whatever the package reads, is a marketing gimic and really only means the drive will work on a SATA 3 port.  It doesn't make the drive faster.  This is no different than HDD's saying "SATA I" or "SATA II" compatible.<br><br>In other words, it's normal.  The drive speed will be the same connected to a SATA II or SATA 3 port as it's a mechanical limitation of the HDD, not a port issue.<br><small>--<br>Google is your Friend</small>]]></description>

Because of couple of thing. <br><br>The Cache Memory could reach that level of MB/s even if it is for 1 sec. and The HDD controller support SATA III. Even tho the HDD Pattern + 7200rpm has a limit of read/write MB/s speed.<br><br>I also agree with Dogg. If you want to max out those SATA I, II, III port you better off using an SSD drive.]]></description>

HD Tune is one example.<br><br>May want to check the firmware on the drive & on the motherboard to ensure everything is up to date.<br><br>Google to see if there are any known issues with your drive, your motherboard, and the combination of the two (im not doing that for you). <br><br>Looks like all the ports on that board are Sata 3 based on Newegg's info. I didn't research any further than that. You may want to to be certain.]]></description>
