[Voip.ms] Incoming calls fail to connect?
We got several incoming calls this AM but when we picked up the phone after 1-3 rings the line was disconnected. The phone was working fine yesterday. Linksys SPA-3102 is the ATA.
1. voip.ms web page showed registration to toronto server
2. ping test results:
toronto: 0 % loss, 26 ms
3. speedtest.net result:
toronto nexicom server: ping 65 ms, DL 9.42 Mbps, UL 0.47 Mbps. Note that our 18/0.5 cable is subscribed to Start/RED
4. Switched to chicago server in both ATA and on voip.ms web page, voip.ms page shows registration to chicago server but still cannot pick up incoming calls!
5. I clicked on Live Chat on voip.ms web page but it does not load, so I cannot get help from their support staff. Phone calls to their number is answered by sales staff only.
Is there a problem with RED (Big Red) network, or with voip.ms, or both?
I need help! Thank you!
I haven't read all of your threads closely, so pardon me if you've already tried this suggestion.
I see that you have been having issues with multiple ATAs on multiple VoIP.ms servers. Have you investigated your router as a cause of the issue?
Try to connect your ATA directly to your modem and be sure the ATA receives a public IP address. (You may need to power cycle your cable modem.) Does your VoIP work now? If so, connect the router to the SPA3102 instead of the other way around.
Edit: I see decx asked this question a couple of days ago.
Dear Obihai, please fix the FXS to FXO Relay in the OBi110. Add this as your signature if you agree!
