 | Line quality test reporting IP as not pingable Hi, I'm running Win7 Home, all updates, on ADSL with Windows Firewall. Line Quality Test reports that my IP is not pingable; Firewall is set to allow pinging, router (Asus RT-N13U) is set to allow pinging, other test sites in Brazil and in USA (I'm in Brazil) can sucessfully ping the computer. Line quality test reports that some hops along the way (both in USA and Brazil) lose 100% packets, but other hops interspersed eith those show little loss. |

That is normal. The routers are just not responding to pings. It has nothing to do with your router/firewall. -- "You can observe a lot by watching". Yogi Berra |

 | Thanks. That explains the 100% loss on routers along the line. But I still don't understand why the DSL Reports site when setting up the test says that my IP is not pingable, while other test sites, such as www.speedtest.com, do manage to ping my computer and report the ping delay. |
