I just received a new 1704 modem as a replacement for my 2Wire, which died the other day.
On the 2Wire, I could type in 192.168.254.254 and get the modem stats (like SNR, etc.). I'm assuming there's something like that for the 1704. I'd appreciate it if someone could let me know how to do that. I downloaded the full manual from here and it says the default is 192.168.1.1, but that just times out so apparently that's not it.
Check your network connection details on your computer to see what your default gateway is. I assume your internet connection works at the moment with the 1704?
