Re: Old enough to know to go to Pirate bay to get free music
Italian, Battleop, Dark Lobe (or TKJunkmail, Romney2012(ha!), or whatever your alias is this month), the point of the article was that the POLICE were sikked on these folks over the download of a SINGLE ALBUM (that they paid for later anyway) because they did not cowtow to the entertainment cartel's extortion of 600 euros.
The police were sent to a house due to a music download, NOT because they were drug dealers or a murderer was holed up in the house, nooooo nothing as bad as that....a HUGE waste of government resources on what is a civil matter....how would you feel if you get a knock on the door tomorrow from the police because your Mercedes payment was a day late or got lost in the mail? That wouldn't look too good to your neighbors on your cul-de-sac in your gated community, now would it?
To paraphrase what Big_e said, lets just roll everything back to the 1800s when the robber barons ruled the roost and poor folks were thrown in debtor's prison. You guys would love that....
