Re: Nice Job, Best Buy!

Hmm - interesting... I'll have to look closer at it!

I've got a PS3 already - so my Netflix/online needs are covered, but there's some Nintendo titles that I'd like to play - but not badly enough to get a full-fledged Wii @$300. At $100, though - that's a different story!

Whoops for BB - but good one on Nintendo...

The no online.... well, the Wii's online wasn't very good to begin with. The potential big loss is the Wii Shop. But for someone just looking to play the first party disc-based games, this thing will do great.

Though you can get a regular Wii for $150 with a game (New Super Mario Bros, which is still $60 separate).

Well, you can get a Wii for about $129 or so new, IIRC.

I think this Wii is a different target audience: young kids (who don't need wifi nor have the played the old game cube games), cottage crowd, gaming only people.

By the looks of it, this device is much smaller than the original Wii, to it just might be successful. Not sure if the price is right though..though controllers and numchuks aren't cheap.
