New firmware for Motorola modems?

I see on here that Comcast is pushing a new firmware to Motorola modems. Funny how they were saying there was no problem and now are getting a new firmware again for them. I am now renting a Ubee but wonder if my owned Motorola would work again now with this new firmware.
