[DSL] Was it really this easy?

Was given an activation date of 11/30 for switching from AT&T to DSL Extreme.

Woke up this morning to no internet service and thought I would be offline for a few days. Changed the credentials in my modem from my old sbcglobal.net address and password to my new dslextreme.com address and password and DSL service came back up.

Was it really that easy? Waiting until tomorrow to cancel service with AT&T because I'm still in shock how easy the transition was.

Thanks DSL Extreme!!!

Heh. That's how easy it USUALLY is, yes. This forum's usually for all the exception cases where things DON'T go according to plan... but always nice to hear when things go right!

Just make sure when you cancel with ATT, you just let them know you've switched providers so you want them to stop billing you for DSL (so they're aware that you ARE still getting DSL, just not with them). Make sure not to disconnect the phone line itself!
