Change default gateway on ActionTec DHCP assignment

javamarket posted : Hi All,

I have the Actiontec solely for the purpose of supporting the TV service. All is working. I have a newer Netgear R6300 as the edge router (a bit of a disappointment frankly). I replaces a Cisco ASA for the advertised wireless improvement, which I don't see.

In any event, the R6300 has a really poor DHCP implementation as well as an ARP table that purges much too quickly. Although not much better, the Actiontec DHCP implementation is superior (for example you can adjust lease time expiry). From everything I can see or have tried, however, there is no place to configure a default gateway in settings for DHCP clients, and it defaults to the Actiontec IP address. Obviously this isn't what I need.

Is anyone aware of a setting or method for changing the default gateway assigned via DHCP?

Many thanks.
Mark
