I agree. Makes more sense to just allow in-dash systems to connect to and work thru Bluetooth or WiFi connections to smartphones to update traffic info, map updates, SMS to speech, etc. Who needs another system tied to 1 cell carrier in the car. Better to connect to many different cellphone models using multiple carriers.
