[Cable] Where can I find information about appropriate prw, snr,

I am based in Ottawa, and currently have cable 28 unlimited with the Thomson DCM475, running 02.16. I've read previously that an acceptable power range for downstream is -15 to +15dBmV, and that recommended is actually more like -12 to +12.

Currently, my modem shows:

Cable Signal Details
Forward Path:
Channel Frequency Power SNR BER Modulation
1 663.0 MHz -16.8 dBmV 33.7 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
2 615.0 MHz -11.2 dBmV 37.1 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
3 621.0 MHz -15.7 dBmV 34.6 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
4 633.0 MHz -17.1 dBmV 33.1 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
5 639.0 MHz -15.6 dBmV 34.1 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
6 645.0 MHz -16.9 dBmV 33.5 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
7 651.0 MHz -15.0 dBmV 34.7 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
8 657.0 MHz -14.8 dBmV 34.8 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM

I have had some slowness issues in the last month or so, and while I was assured the issue was resolved, I want to make sure everything is ok.

I like Teksavvy quite a bit, their service has been nothing but friendly, but I've also had more technical issues with them than any other ISP unfortunately.

Speed tests to Parsippany, NJ (both flash and Java based) currently seem fine and speed tests based in Ottawa also seem fine.

I just want to make sure I won't have any future issues that can't be caught now.

Re: [Cable] Where can I find information about appropriate prw,

Those numbers are pretty bad. How many upstream splitters do you have on your line?

More information on acceptable signal levels can be found here: »Cable Modems and Wiring Issues »What kind of signal levels do I want on my cable modem?
